Addepar finally makes friends with Fidelity and reboots its RIA service, again — helped by a key ex-Tamarac hire

Jon Porter was Addepar’s No. 2 customer when he founded his RIA in 2010. Joe Lonsdale, the co-founder of the Mountain View, Calif.-software maker  gave him his performance reporting software for free–if Porter agreed to serve as a guinea pig during the company’s long gestation period.

It was the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
