Nutanix: How Automation Changed Your IT Department

We hear a lot about IT automation and machine learning these days. It is mostly at the software application level where the emphasis is very much on automating blocks of code that can perform the same (or similar) function in different application use cases and different (often similar) business workflows.

Behind the application layer, automation is also growing in importance in the cloud datacenter itself. This type of automation works to enable routine provisioning and maintenance tasks so that they can become ‘self-service’ options handled automatically, freeing up IT support staff to concentrate on more important matters.
