Why the password may be passing into history

Cyber security experts and frustrated users have long agreed that the complex strings of letters and numbers used for passwords deserve to die. Now, the hunt for a replacement has been accelerated by the rise of wearable devices and the so-called “Internet of Things” which has created objects cannot be controlled by a password.

Start-ups are searching for alternative biometric technologies, identifying users from everything from their voices to the vibrations of their skull.
