Lior Carmel

Lior is a vice president at Blumberg Capital, based in New York.
Lior is an early-stage investor with a decade of experience in enterprise software. Previously, Lior was based in Blumberg Capital’s Tel Aviv office, investing in cybersecurity, AI, data infrastructure, and dev tools. Prior to Blumberg Capital, Lior was a technology scouter and innovation consultant at Deloitte, where he led Deloitte Israel’s engagements with the Israeli cybersecurity ecosystem and facilitated collaborations between startups and multinational companies. Lior began his career in the Israeli Intelligence Corps in unit 8200, where he served as an officer for six years and fulfilled multiple roles of product and project management in cybersecurity, big data, and telecommunication for which he was awarded with excellence and creativity awards.
Lior serves as a board observer for Creednz, Grips, Partful, and Shabodi, and previously held board roles at acquired companies such as Authomize (acq. by Delinea), Cybellum (acq. by LG), Databand (acq. by IBM), Medigate (acq. by Claroty), and Zone7 (acq. by Svexa).
Lior earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, a bachelor’s degree in economics and a LL.B degree, magna cum laude, in law from the University of Tel Aviv and Northwestern University.
