SeaLights Acquired By Tricentis: Expanding AI-Powered Software Quality Intelligence

It has been an exciting journey for our portfolio company SeaLights, developer of a SaaS-based, AI-powered software quality intelligence platform, leading up to its recent acquisition by Tricentis, a global leader in continuous testing and quality engineering. From inception through exit, it has been a privilege to be a part of SeaLights’ journey, as an early and growth stage investor. This milestone is a testament to SeaLights’ visionary founders Eran Sher and Alon Eizenman and their commitment to improve software quality engineering.

A long-term partnership with visionary founders

You could say that third time’s a charm. SeaLights is the third company, founded by Eran Sher and Alon Eizenman, that our team has invested in. As SeaLights’ lead Seed and follow-on growth investor, we shared the founders’ passion for helping enterprises meet quality standards and deliver software quickly, from the very beginning. Today, large enterprises across the Global 2000 trust SeaLights for AI-driven quality intelligence. Software development and QA teams are empowered to understand the impact of code changes, evaluate risks, identify and fix code coverage gaps, and resolve bugs continuously.

Joining forces with Tricentis will help provide better insights into code and tests throughout the CI/CD pipeline, making SeaLights’ tools even more effective for customers. Tricentis serves over 3,000 customers in 19 countries, including more than half of the Fortune 500.

Israeli AI innovation with a global impact

Tricentis’ acquisition of SeaLights is yet another example of an Israeli-founded company making a global impact. Blumberg Capital has invested in Israel, its founders and builders for decades and we believe the best is yet to come from the Startup Nation.

Congratulations team SeaLights. We are grateful to have been part of your journey to make software quality more intelligent, efficient, and reliable. We look forward to cheering you on in your next chapter!

Thank you to our fellow investors at Red Dot Capital Partners, Deutsche Bank, Translink Capital, Shasta Ventures, Cisco Investments me, TLV Partners and Wipro Ventures for your collaboration and partnership.
