Investing in Aryon Security and the Future of Enterprise Cloud Security

By Yodfat Harel Buchris, managing director, and Lior Carmel, vice president, at Blumberg Capital
Congratulations to co-founders Ron Arbel, Ariel Litmanovich, Yair Ladizhensky and the Aryon Security team on their launch out of stealth today! We are proud to be part of their mission to empower enterprises with a proactive approach to cloud security. An exciting adventure is ahead as the company launches out of stealth with $9M in Seed funding from Blumberg Capital and Viola Ventures.
From Ideation to Investment
Our team has invested in cybersecurity startups for decades but when we met the Aryon team, they truly stood out. They were still in ideation, but we knew they were destined to build a large cybersecurity platform company and we wanted to support them as early as possible, leveraging our CISO network and decades of experience to launch it.
As Seed investors, we are investing in a team and the Aryon co-founders, both as individuals and as a team, gave us confidence that they’d succeed together. After all, a great idea goes nowhere without the right team to execute.
Aryon was founded by repeat founders and alumni of Matzov, the IDF’s elite cybersecurity unit, with extensive backgrounds in security, including working together on securing project Nimbus – the $7.2B national cloud computing project between Israel’s government and leading cloud providers. In addition to meeting with our investment team, Sharona Mizrahi, Blumberg Capital’s HR and recruiting specialist, who previously managed HR for the Israel Defense Forces’ Unit 8200, spent extensive time with the co-founders to ensure both parties were fit for a long-term investor and startup partnership.

We weren’t the only team impressed by Aryon. Israeli VC, Viola Ventures led by Zvika Orron, as well as cybersecurity industry leaders including serial entrepreneur Shlomo Kramer of Check Point, Imperva and Cato Networks, Maty Siman, founder of Checkmarx, and Rubi Aronashvili, founder of CYE all joined as investors.
Helping the Global 5000 Make the Leap from Reactive to Proactive Cloud Security
Gartner reports that 99% of cloud security breaches stem from human errors and misconfigurations and 60% of organizations cite preventing such mistakes as a top priority in their cloud security strategy.
Throughout the past year, our network of CISOs and Innovation Council have validated the need for Aryon’s technology. In a recent discussion with our team, a CISO from a large enterprise commented on Aryon’s unique proactive security approach, especially the efficiency of embedding security right into the deployment process.
Aryon Security’s platform takes a prevention-first approach that sets it apart from traditional cloud security solutions like CSPM or CNAPP. Instead of merely detecting misconfigurations or vulnerabilities after deployment, Aryon’s platform enforces security policies early in the deployment process to prevent issues before they ever reach production. This means potential cloud risks – from open storage buckets to policy violations – are blocked at the source, eliminating exposure windows and costly remediation efforts. For highly regulated industries such as finance and healthcare, this proactive stance ensures compliance and data protection standards are upheld from the start, reducing the risk of breaches or regulatory fines. With Aryon, any cloud-driven enterprise can benefit from avoiding the traditional “find-and-fix” scramble and instead enjoy stronger security and smoother cloud operations from day one.
Key technology developments include:
- Policy-Based Enforcement Engine: Aryon’s platform features a powerful engine that allows security teams to set specific rules tailored to their organization’s needs. This policy-based approach is enforced consistently across all cloud environments, ensuring no deployment that violates these rules goes through.
- Integration with Deployment Workflows: By embedding directly into the deployment pipelines, Aryon’s technology proactively prevents risks from becoming active threats. This not only secures cloud deployments but also maintains rapid development pace and operational efficiency without compromising on security.
- Enhanced Visibility and Control: The platform provides comprehensive visibility into cloud operations, enabling organizations to monitor and control the security status of their deployments proactively. This enhanced oversight helps detect potential security gaps before they can be exploited, further strengthening cloud security postures.
The Future of Cloud Security
As cloud environments grow more complex, it’s becoming clear that proactive prevention over reactive detection represents the future of cloud security. Shifting from a post-deployment “monitor and fix” approach to preemptive enforcement drastically reduces risk by shrinking the window of exposure and cutting down the sheer number of issues teams must chase after. This approach not only lowers the likelihood of security incidents, but also improves efficiency by breaking the endless cycle of alerts, audits, and after-the-fact fixes. By stopping problems at their source, organizations free their security teams from constant reactive firefighting. Instead of scrambling to remediate misconfigurations or close gaps in real time, teams can focus on strategic initiatives and innovation – all while knowing that robust preventative guardrails are actively safeguarding their cloud at every step.
We welcome the Aryon team to our community of visionary cybersecurity founders and teams.
