Vishal is a senior associate based in Blumberg Capital’s San Francisco office. Vishal brings more than six years of experience as an investment banker, corporate development professional and investor in the technology space.
Prior to joining Blumberg Capital, Vishal was a manager on Salesforce’s corporate development and investing team where he handled M&A and strategic investments with a focus on enterprise software solutions in sales, marketing, services, big data and analytics spaces across various industry verticals.
Before Salesforce, Vishal worked for Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Group in the technology media telecom division where he specialized in M&A, IPOs, debt financings and private placements In addition, he provided financial advisory services to clients in various technology verticals, including: enterprise software, consumer internet, education technology and semiconductors. Vishal also previously worked at Deutsche Bank’s technology investment banking group.
Vishal serves as the community chair of The Indus Entrepreneur (TIE) Group’s San Francisco Forum.
Vishal earned his B.S in business & finance, magna cum laude, from William Paterson University of New Jersey.
David is the founder and managing partner of Blumberg Capital. David is an authority on early stage investing with more than 25 years of experience. He founded Blumberg Capital in the early 1990s and launched its first venture-backed fund in 2001.
Prior to Blumberg Capital, David managed international investments with the Bronfman Family Office, Adler & Co, APAX Partners and at T. Rowe Price. He also launched business development for Check Point Software Technologies as one of its top four executives.
David earned his A.B. in Government, cum laude, from Harvard College and his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and INSEAD. David speaks French and is proficient in Hebrew and Spanish.
David serves on the boards of CaseStack, Credorax, Deep Instinct, DoubleVerify, EarnUp, FeeX, Firmitas, Fortscale, IntSights, Kreditech, Trulioo and Wunder. He also serves on the Board of The Lincoln Club of Northern California and is a member of the Pacific Council on International Policy.
Matt is a principal based in Blumberg Capital’s San Francisco office. He brings more than 10 years of experience working with entrepreneurs and startups as both a founder and a venture capitalist.
Prior to Blumberg Capital, Matt worked with Correlation Ventures, a quantitative venture capital firm, and Greycroft Partners, a digital media VC. Matt previously founded two technology companies in the enterprise software and tech-enabled services sectors. Additional experience includes new product development at LinkedIn and strategy consulting with the Monitor Group.
Matt earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his B.S. in mathematics from Brown University.
Jaime is Blumberg Capital’s chief financial officer. Based in San Francisco, he brings more than 15 years of financial management experience in private practice and public accounting.
Previously, Jaime was director of finance and human resources at Mohr Davidow, a venture capital firm with $2 billion under management. Jaime also worked as the controller at Geolo Capital, a private equity firm and prior to that, he was the controller at Sand Hill Capital, a venture debt fund that specializes in mezzanine financing.
Jaime is a certified public account (inactive) and gained most of his tax experience at Arthur Andersen and Oracle.
Jaime earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Fresno.
Chris is a principal based in Blumberg Capital’s San Francisco office. He brings more than 11 years of experience as an investor, entrepreneur, operational executive and investment banker within the technology space.
Prior to Blumberg Capital, Chris worked at Menlo Ventures where he pursued investment opportunities in mobile, Internet, gaming, software, and e-commerce.
Before joining Menlo Ventures, Chris served as the director of corporate development & analytics at PlayPhone. In this role he was responsible for M&A sourcing and execution, strategic partnerships, and improving operational metrics. Chris also worked as an investment banking analyst in the TMT group at Cowen and Company where he completed a number of M&A and equity transactions in the digital media and communications equipment sectors. Chris began his career at Intel as an operations financial analyst within the Flash Products Division. In addition, Chris has consulted for several technology startups including Gilt Groupe and ngmoco.
Chris holds a B.A. with a double major in economics and political science from the University of California, Davis and an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona. Chris was selected as a Kauffman Finalist in 2012.
Chris serves as a member or observer on the board of directors of Able Lending, Bento for Business, Bold, Cognical, ePetWorld, Kreditech, Lendio, One Financial Holdings (BEE), Parse.ly, Paymill, Storybox, SimplyCredit, and Urbanara.
Gloria is director of operations for Blumberg Capital. Gloria brings more than 20 years of experience in operations, human resources and administration across venture capital firms, Silicon Valley startups and real estate management.
Prior to joining Blumberg Capital, Gloria held positions at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Qspeed Semiconductor, Electric Cloud and Mayfield Fund, amongst others.
Andrea is the head of marketing and communications for Blumberg Capital. In her role, she drives all marketing strategy and activities for the firm and provides marketing support for its portfolio companies.
Andrea brings more than 12 years of experience across corporate marketing, corporate communications, public relations, analyst relations, crisis communications, customer marketing, event marketing/planning and social media.
Prior to joining Blumberg Capital, Andrea held global leadership positions at cloud startups SuccessFactors (acquired by SAP) and Deem. In addition, she previously led corporate affairs for Alibaba.com in the Americas, managed public relations for Disney’s Family Group of websites and worked for a variety of consumer, healthcare, sports/fitness and technology companies while at PR agencies. Andrea began her career in communications and Internet marketing for the Portland Trail Blazers.
Andrea holds a M.A. in strategic public relations from the University of Southern California and B.A., in communications, magna cum laude, from Portland State University.
Patrick is an advisor and chair of Blumberg Capital’s CIO Council.
Patrick brings more than 47 years of experience in healthcare, insurance, corporate retail, wholesale, supply chain, merchandising and information technology (IT) functions.
He recently retired as executive vice president and CIO for Delta Dental of California and a member of its senior executive management team. Prior to Delta Dental, he was involved in consulting and business development, and was active in establishing several technology companies that serve the retail sector.
Patrick spent the first 35 years of his career at Albertsons, with 11 years spent in senior executive roles.
Patrick holds a B.A. in Business Administration and a B.S. in Mathematics, both from the University of Washington.
Bruce is a managing director at Blumberg Capital with more than 23 years experience as a venture capital investor, entrepreneur, technology investment banker and corporate attorney.
Prior to joining Blumberg Capital, Bruce co-founded and held several senior management positions within technology companies including Charles River Computers. Bruce also structured and managed early-stage technology transactions at Hambrecht & Quist, Mayer Brown & Platt and Bankers Trust Company.
A native of New York, Bruce earned his B.A. in finance and communications, cum laude, from Yeshiva University, and his MBA and J.D. from Fordham University.
Bruce serves as a member or observer on the board of directors of Appboy, Arcadia Data, BioCatch, Coverhound, Lenddo, Mariana, One Financial Holdings (BEE), Revionics, Roam and Sealights. He also serves on the board and the investment monitoring committee of the Jewish Community Foundation of Northern California.
